Installation Supervisor, Vancouver

KONE in Canada is looking for an Installation Supervisor in Vancouver.

The Vancouver branch is responsible for all of Greater Vancouver Area and Lower Mainland.

The role of an Installation Supervisor is to lead elevator technicians, manage and control installation projects from sales to final handover to client throughout the installation process.

In addition, you will plan and organize the delivery and storage of materials. Make sure your team has all required tools to be efficient on site. Deliver jobs within budget, You need to  manage communication with customers throughout the installation process.

Additional duties include supporting the sales team in pre-tender and tender activities as requested. You will be supported by Project Managers.

Skills Required:

The ideal candidate would have progressive experience in the elevator industry or an equivalent industry where capital equipment is installed in the field using unionized and technically qualified workforce. You should be able to lead a team of unionized trade qualified field technicians

You should have a college or university degree or be  a professional tradesperson. Experience  in the elevator industry will be an advantage..

In order to succeed in this position you should be familiar with installation method requirements and site preparation, have basic knowledge of construction industry practices and contracts, be an effective communicator, and able to manage a team of trade oriented unionized workforce. You should be able to use basic IT tools such as email, MS office, learn KONE install management tools  and understand the basics of project finance.
