Ready, Set, Go! Preschool is a play-based preschool program for children between the ages of 3 5.
In Ready, Set Go!, we are building better brains through emergent curriculum and take advantage of an optimum time in a childs development to encourage and support learning, early literacy, socialization, creativity, physical growth, problem-solving skills, and emotional literacy.
As a Teacher with Ready, Set, Go!, a typical day might include:
Setting up and planning for a play based program offering a variety of developmentally appropriate activities for pre-schoolers
Promoting the program in the community prior to September start-up
Developing plans to meet the specific needs of individual children when necessary
Identifying developmental delays and making recommendations for screening
Implementing early literacy activities including parents whenever possible
Modeling constructive behavior management techniques and positive parenting strategies
Modeling good communication skills and healthy problem solving strategies
Involving parents in the various aspects of the program as volunteers
Understanding and implementing Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations and BGCC Policies
Working in partnership with other agencies whenever necessary

Bachelor or Education or Early Childhood Diploma
A minimum two years experience working with families and 2-4 years of supervisory experience
Certification as a Child Development Supervisor
Strong interpersonal, communication and public relations skills
Must have strong planning, organizing, problem-solving and leadership skills
Must be able to work independently and effectively in a team environment
Current Standard First Aid/Basic Rescue CPR certificate
A Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search and Child Intervention Record Check*
